It’s Not Too Late to Get Into a New Home Before School Starts

We’ve made it past the 4th of July, but we aren’t quite to August yet and there is still time for homeowners who may be considering a move before the start of the school year.  If you’ve been thinking about moving, but are hesitating, here are a few reasons why you should list your home on the market now.

    The market is hot

The market is still going strong, which means that homes that are listed are selling faster and often for more than the asking price.  There are more buyers looking for homes than there are homes on the market and this is what creates buyer buzz, multiple offers, and bidding wars. It’s a great time to list because the process will happen quickly when you have the right team behind you, marketing your home effectively and placing the property right in front of would-be buyers.

Homes are in demand but inventory is low

If you are looking to purchase a home at the same time that you sell, your options might be a little more limited, but with an effective real estate agent and a desire to move the process along quickly, you will be able to find the right house for you.  Your real estate agent will be an indispensable guide in helping you navigate the tricky process of putting in an offer and going through the negotiation process.

Find a home in a desirable school district

If you want to have your children change schools or school districts, you can search for homes in your desired area.  Your real estate agent can help you find properties in your desired location and can help you get into the right school district for your children’s needs.

Getting into a new home before the school year is still possible.  Schools starts on September 5th in Maryland, which leaves plenty of time to put in an offer and go to closing before kids are in school.  Just because it’s summer time doesn’t mean it’s too late to buy a house.  It’s not only possible, but we want to help meet your timeline.  If you are looking to buy a home in a certain school district soon, contact The Bob Lucido Team for more information.  We’ll help you buy and sell real estate on a timeline that works for you.

I’ve been planning to purchase a single-family home because my family is starting to grown and we’d need a bigger space. I guess you’re right; I should look for a real estate agent that can help me find a home near schools. It’s great to know that that a real estate agent will be able to navigate the tricky process of the negotiation.
