      Price it right and sell it fast to get top dollar. We find that we help home sellers get 3% to 5% more if the home sells in the first few days of going public. There are buyers who are in the market, know what they want, and are just waiting for a home in the right area to hit the market. They have likely missed out on a home in the recent past and thus do not want to have it happen again. If you price your home correctly, these people will rush in and pay full-price plus in order to attempt to avoid a bidding war. And of course, we want a bidding war in order to get top dollar.

      My husband and I are needing to sell our house fast since his new job that we are moving for starts in two weeks and we already have a house in that area. You mentioned that a good way to sell a house is by host an open house to get interest of potential buyers that don’t feel pressured to look around. That is a great piece of advice for me to remember since it could increase our chances of selling.

      I liked what you said about how important it is to market your home well because that’s how you create the buzz that leads to buyers. My bother and sister-in-law are considering moving and I think they’d be so smart to follow your advice, but I also think a lot of this is easier said than done. My wife and I are in the process of renovating our home because we’re planning on listing it next summer.       I’d like to sell my house to pay off some high interest debt. I’m not sure if I have the equity to net enough from the sell to make it worth the move.

      I should be able to sell the house for 155k, at least, and owe 137. I’d like to net 12k.

      What I don’t know is, how much am I going to pay in closing costs? With and without a realtor. I would prefer to use a realtor, but not sure how much this costs.

      I am not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated!

      My wife and I have been wanting to sell our home so we can upgrade into something larger, and we aren’t sure how to handle the process. I liked that you had mentioned that it can be important to make sure you set the right place that will get serious buyers looking at it.
